I was born in the United States, but raised in Peru from ages 3 to 9. That’s where my aunt and uncle introduced me to product design—though back then, it was just called graphic design. That’s where my design journey began.
That path led me to earn a couple of design degrees, which connected me with some great places along the way—Doner, R/GA, Prophet—and eventually to being recruited by AKQA.
My design philosophy is simple: listen first, build a strong foundation, then push it—and push it again. Iteration, guided by listening, is key to great design. That’s why you’ll always catch me asking the money questions.
